Wish I had purchased sooner. Very easy to use. Use with heavier wire.
Easy to set up and they fit many gauges of speaker wire. I used several packages of these for my surround sound faceplate and it looks great. These connectors are very solid. Also, the base is not very long which is good for tight fitting areas or for a clean look.
I use this connector to terminate my Raptor 10AWG cable. Within 2 mins i finished termination at both end which show how easy it is to connect.
Work very well, the sound is grate, abut 2 min to install.I'm very happy and will recommend this product to any one looking for it.
Common sense might have saved me from this, but you may benefit from using a thin rag to protect your fingers. The one detail the instructions do not mention, but I discovered quickly, is that there are two sets of compression rings. The plug is one part, and has three sections: the plug proper that connects to audio equipment, the small section of knurled case with threads for screwing into the base, and a 1/2" spike for embedding in speaker cable. The base is one part: the large section of knurled case threaded for the plug to screw into. Final hand tightening of the connector assembly should be sufficient, but if you are over-zealous, you may abrade your finger with the knurled casing. These AR banana connectors probably are, too.
I did. Each is marked with either a red stripe for the positive side of the speaker cable, or a white one for the negative side.InstallationInstallation could not be easier. But they offer good value because they are so well designed and easy to use. ValueMost audio connector products are overpriced. Their build quality also seems good, and they sound fine.DesignEach connector comprises three separate parts: the plug, a "compression ring", and a base.
The white ones are for thicker speaker cable, the black ones for thinner cable.
